Business process re-engineering (BPR) is a business management strategy, originally introduced in the early 1990s by Michael Hammer in his famous paper "Re engineering Work: Don’t Automate,Obliterate" ,focusing on the analysis and design of workflows and business processes within an organization. The aim was totally and rethinks how to do the work in order to improve customer service, cut operational costs, and become world-class competitors. This approach was later utilized in information system projects tore-engineer workflow in each business area. The new and re-engineered process flow becomes then eligible for computerization.
